word - What is navPoint navMap error in EPUBcheck -


i trying publish ebook through smashwords, site's meatgrinder gives following error.

we have run epubcheck on file, , unfortunately, has not passed validation, errors found were: error while parsing file 'element "navmap" incomplete; missing required element "navpoint"'. (error)

my first book (written in ms word .doc ) far more complex, hyperlinks, toc, , images got through without issues.

this second book (again in ms word .doc) has simple toc, failing unknown reason. cut , pasted text in notepad , reformatted in word couple of times. every version gives same problem.

i can send epub file if required. thanks.
