xcode - Purpose of adding elements between first responder and exit -


in xcode 8.3.3 interface builder, happened drag , drop ui element accidentally beyond usual uiview , control bar there scene, first responder , exit icons. can't seem find documentation or guides explain used , how use it. appreciate or directions. hope pictures makes clearer.
