hash - How Excel uses SHA512 hashing of passwords -


this first question on so bear me if stupid.

i playing around password locking of worksheets in excel (note: not same encrypting entire excel-file).

the worksheet password stored hash. if use word "jim" password in excel salted hash result: l2nkb/0vlubel2ll3maanefnplijnzvjltddc4mvzfx70b50/yfbpqapc4c8fpkl+h+6xqvyaku/clhkmsun/w==

(edited) 88 characters long. excel supposed use sha512 hashing, why isn't hash 128 characters long? , why there nonletters , non numbers part of hash? regardles if in base64, should there other characters numbers orletters?
