Excel 2016 Linked Workbooks Slow to update from SharePoint Online (2007 is fine) -


we have several workbooks in business act summary area, pulling in data directly (='a given cell in said linked workbooks') lots of other workbooks, let's 100 workbooks.

recently moved of our files sharepoint online (2013), when users of excel 2016 (and 2013 matter) open 1 of these summary style workbooks , click update, takes @ least 10 minutes update everything. meanwhile, have 1 user still on excel 2007, summary workbooks update quickly, more 1 minute same workbook.

task manager shows network activity during link updates on 2016 stop-starting second or of inactivity between high bursts of data, meanwhile 2007 opens flood gates constant activity.

this translates in fiddler 4 also. updating linked workbooks excel 2016 gives following activity:

tunnel sharepoint site actual file tunnel sharepoint site call cellstorage.svc tunnel cellstorage call (occassionaly there calls nexus officeapps live too)

comparing excel 2007, there nothing direct file activity, no tunnels, no cellstorage, , larger bodies.

it appear behaviour difference, correct , there way stop behaviour in excel 2013/16?

performance - Why is XCHG reg, reg a 3 micro-op instruction on modern Intel architectures? -

i'm doing micro-optimization on performance critical part of code , came across sequence of instructions (in at&t syntax): add %rax, %rbx mov %rdx, %rax mov %rbx, %rdx i thought had use case xchg allow me shave instruction , write: add %rbx, %rax xchg %rax, %rdx however, dimay found agner fog's instruction tables , xchg 3 micro-op instruction 2 cycle latency on sandy bridge, ivy bridge, broadwell, haswell , skylake. 3 whole micro-ops , 2 cycles of latency! 3 micro-ops throws off 4-1-1-1 cadence , 2 cycle latency makes worse original in best case since last 2 instructions in original might execute in parallel. now... cpu might breaking instruction micro-ops equivalent to: mov %rax, %tmp mov %rdx, %rax mov %tmp, %rdx where tmp anonymous internal register , suppose last 2 micro-ops run in parallel latency 2 cycles. given register renaming occurs on these micro-architectures, though, doesn't make sense me done way. why wouldn't register renamer

jquery - Responsive Navbar with Sub Navbar -
