osx - macos-sierra xquartz installation successful but app will not run -


i have installed latest version of xquartz www.xquartz.org , installer says successful. however, not run , have force quit it. tried older version of x11 via macports , worked, not compatible x2go client, how i'd prefer use it. apple support not assist.

i didn't find answer yet, here or on xquartz site. xquartz , macos sierra has similar question no answer.
